Museum Trail continues to develop as Waterworks Connector, a new .3 mile section of multi-use trail, now connects trail users to LeFleur’s Bluff State Park and LeFleur Museum District. The museum district is home to both the Mississippi Children’s Museum and the Natural Science Museum.
Clay Hays, Vice Chairman at Jackson Heart Foundation, shares the significance and mission behind Museum Trail, ““Mississippi is thought of as the unhealthiest state in the country. Jackson is right there in the middle. We want to provide an area where people can go out and exercise and enjoy each other's company. Museum Trail promotes healthier activities and brings the community together. It's like one big linear park.”
