Waterworks Connector Trail Opens in Jackson, 2023
The new 0.3 mile connector trail along Waterworks Curve now connects trail users from the Mississippi Farmer’s Market to LeFleur’s Bluff State Park and the LeFleur Museum District.
Museum Trail Phase One Ribbon Cutting, 2021
In January 2021, state and city officials gathered for a ribbon-cutting at the Museum Trail. It was unveiled as Jackson’s first paved scenic pathway connecting to parks, museums, and greenspace.
Mission First Playground Ribbon Cutting, 2020
Funds raised to purchase and install new playground equipment for an early learning center and after school program. Both of these programs will benefit greatly and encourage physical movement in a safe environment.
Get Heart Smart with Mississippi Children’s Museum, 2019
In the Get Heart Smart program, students learn about the anatomy of the circulatory system and its primary functions using a larger-than-life heart and lungs floor map. They will also discuss making healthy choices regarding food, sleep, and exercise as well as the impact good citizenship can make.
